Nifty Nappy Cloth Diaper Review and Giveaway CLOSED

My son & I had the opportunity to try out one of Nifty Nappy’s Peachy Keen One Size Pocket Diapers and I have to say that it is quite possibly my favorite cloth diaper to date.

Vilate had previously (personally) e-mailed me instructions on how to care for and wash the diaper and insert. In order to get the oils out of the insert and make it more absorbent you need to wash it 4-5 times before using it. So as soon as I received the diaper, I tossed it in the wash.

After washing and drying the diaper and insert I took a second to check things out. The first thing I noticed (besides the incredibly cute pattern) was how thin it was compared to other cloth diapers which can be very bulky. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical that it would keep my heavy-wetting son dry without leaking, but it did. I even left the diaper on a bit longer than normal (not too much, don’t worry!) just to see how it held up and it didn’t leak at all. I was very impressed!

In reference to the diaper being thin, this is by far my favorite part about it. It fits my son so well! It is snug around the waist and legs, it did not ride too high in the front or back, and it never started sagging while he was wearing it.

The cloth diaper features overlapping snaps on the front and elastic around the legs for a perfect fit on your baby. Vilate has created a unique 3-way folding method that allows her diapers to fit any child from newborn to potty-trained! For more information on how to fold the diaper check out her video tutorial.

Another thing that I love about the Nifty Nappy was how soft the diaper and insert is. We received the White Ooga velour diaper and I was surprised to find a pocket diaper that was soft inside and out. Nifty Nappies feature a cotton knit shell, organic hemp fleece layer and microfleece inner layer to help wick moisture away. Every diaper comes with an organic hemp and bamboo velour insert for maximum absorbency.
