HearthSong (50’s-style Step Stool/Chair) Review & Giveaway

I am slightly embarrassed to say that up until about 2 months ago I had never heard of HearthSong. They carry an amazing selection of toys for babies and toddlers, kids, and teens. Whether you’re looking for outside toys to keep your child active or indoor toys to challenge their imagination, HearthSong has got you covered.

They recently sent us a personalized 50’s-inspired step stool for C. I was already very excited about the stool coming in because we had been looking for a nice one for quite some time. He has gotten to that age where he just wants to do everything on his own; he wants to be able stand at the sink and wash his own hands or brush his teeth. He has really enjoyed the stool so far and doesn’t want anyone else messing with it! It has helped him gain a little independence and learn to manage daily tasks.

I knew we were going to love the stool but I was really blown away by the quality ((and cuteness)) of it when it came it.

The step stool isn’t merely a stool, it also doubles as a toddler chair — just like the ones from the 1950’s! It’s so cool. To use it as a chair, you simply flip the step part (orange & red, above) of the stool up and it creates a back to the chair (shown below).

Now, I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for ways to save space and this step stool/chair is a perfect for that! Why buy two separate pieces when you can just buy one!

The wooden stool is lightweight but very solid and will hold up to 150 pounds! I could use it! ((I won’t…I’m just saying.)) The wood is thick and sturdy, ensuring your little one will feel safe while standing on it.

The back and seat are made up of 5 panels of

wood, painted in the primary colors, red, yellow, blue, green, and orange. We have actually been using the stool to help C learn his colors, they are all right there beside each other, making it very easy for him to distinguish one from another. I am proud to say that he almost has them down pat!

You can also have the back of the chair personalized up to 10 characters in white paint. We choose to get C’s name on it and I am glad we did, it really tops off the look of chair.

I cannot say enough good things about this little stool or HearthSong, I am so glad that I found their site and we will definitely be shopping with them in the future!
