The Willow Store Sprout Change Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway

Yet another great experience with a cloth diaper! The Willow Store has crafted a natural cloth diaper with a reversible PUL shell! That means not one, but two layers of protection.

Upon receiving the package, as always, I inspected the contents. It contained an adjustable, reversible shell, one Super Saver insert and a creatively designed instruction board that actually holds the diaper.

I removed the diaper from the instruction board and examined it. The diaper shell itself didn’t look very long at all, which made me wonder how it was going to fit my one-year old. The diaper has snaps on the front for the closure and a snap on the side with an elastic adjustment strip. The adjustment strip is amazing. You pull it out and button it so that it will stay to the size that it takes to fit your baby. Then you don’t have to adjust it again until your baby grows. This diaper fits children from 5 to 40 pounds.

The insert felt super absorbent! It appeared to be a little longer than the diaper at first, but when I placed it in the diaper as suggested it fit perfectly. This is an extremely easy diaper to manage. You simply lay the insert inside the diaper and snap, there is no need to stuff the insert inside.

Washing the diaper was a breeze. The suggested care says to wash the shell of the diaper and insert with warm water and use the extra rinse cycle and then tumble dry with no fabric softener. The shell can be re-used up to 3 times before washing. I had to wash the insert approximately 3 times before using it for the first time to remove any plant oils since this product is made from organic cotton and hemp. The good news is that it seems to get softer with each wash and it is a super easy product to wash.

When it came time for the actual diapering test, I placed the diaper on my child and it fit perfect. I placed a pair of pants on over the diaper and it wasn’t bulky at all. She got up and started running around just fine, proving that the diaper was a great fit through the legs. I liked the snaps. They were very strong, which was a blessing because she has been trying to pull off diapers lately. Shortly thereafter, she laid down for a nap. I thought to myself, this will be the true test, to see if the diaper lasts through a nap with no leaks! After she woke up I felt all around and there were absolutely no leaks! I removed the diaper, and as I do with all cloth diapers, took it to the sink to give it a quick rinse so that they don’t stain and maintain their quality. I recommend this great diaper because it is easy to use, especially for a mom on the go and beginner to cloth diapering like myself.
