Review of The Haan Complete Steam Cleaner | Plus A Giveaway!

With a toddler and new baby in the house I try my hardest to stay away from cleaning products that contain harsh chemicals. Aside from the potent smell most leave behind, I don’t want  it to end up on their skin or in their mouth. I’m not going to lie, I love the power and infinite uses of bleach but the fumes engulf my house making it hard to breath. Therefore, I simply do not use it. But I have to clean and disinfect with something. Before I was basically using soap and water, maybe vinegar at times, but still worried about germs.

Meet the Haan Complete.

The benefits of cleaning with steam are immense so why not have cleaner that can do it all! The Haan Complete kills 99.9% of bacteria and germs such as Salmonella, E. Coli, Staph etc… And it can clean pretty much anything.

Steaming floors is a breeze with the Complete. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the steamer broke down and wiped up stuck on dirt and grim. No smears or smudges, it came right up!  My floor had literally, never looked so clean. The really, really wonderful part is that there are no chemicals being used and my floor is free from 99.9% or germs and bacteria!

Just a few things you can do with the Haan Complete:

    • Clean and disinfect floors.
    • Steam curtains to remove wrinkles (as well as give a fresh, clean smell).
    • Use the pressurized steamer attachment to clean large outdoor toys in hard to reach places. (For instance, mold or mildew in the crevices of a plastic wagon that has been left out in the rain.)
    • Clean countertops.
    • Remove grease and grim from stove top and oven.
    • Refresh and disinfect carpet.
    • Remove wrinkles from clothes with the garment attachment (a much better alternative to ironing, in my opinion).
    • Clean and disinfect furniture.
    • Clean and sterilize the kitchen sink and faucet (the steam helps remove soap scum and all sorts of bacteria and germs).
    • Remove soap scum and lime from the bathroom sink and shower.
    • Clean and disinfect in and around the toilet.
    • Clean and sanitize baby’s toys. (I especially love this since many of the little toys that make sounds or light up cannot be put in the washing machine or dishwasher because they cannot be submerged in water.)
    • Clean mirrors windows with no streaks!
    • Eliminate odors in rugs, carpet, furniture, curtains etc… (great for pet owners and parents!).
    • Remove stains from tile and grout.
    • Disinfect mattresses (the steam will kill mold, spores, bedbugs, dust mites, germs and bacteria).
    • Sterilize baby’s changing station.
    • Clean and disinfect doorknobs and light switches.
    • Detail and disinfect a vehicle.

I could go on but you get the point. If there’s something that you need to steam clean, the Haan Complete can most certainly get the job done.

The steamer comes in the form of a lightweight canister on wheels that is easy to move around when needed. It heats up quickly and has 30 minutes of pressurized steam cleaning per fill up. This is usually plenty of times to finish one task but if not, it doesn’t take long at all to refill and get back to cleaning. The Complete features a flexible steam hose that doesn’t get hot and a steam trigger and lock switch that allows you to lock the trigger in the on position rather than holding it down the entire time (very handy!). It also has a storage compartment for attachments as well as one for the cord. Everything bundles up nicely and what doesn’t fit in the canister itself can be placed the handy attachment bag that is included with the Complete.

I really love this steamer. I love that it’s multi-functional and that it eliminates chemicals from my cleaning routine. It’s great! I had one incident with it leaking water while I was steaming my recliner but other than that it has not leaked at any other time. I am not sure what caused it to leak that time.

Priced on Haan’s website at $179.95, it seems a little high but when you take into account all of things it does and all of the products it could potentially replace, the price seems more than fair to me. Plus, I found it on Amazon for under $120!

How would you like to win a miniature version of the Haan Complete? Haan has offered to give away one of their smaller multi-purpose steam cleaners, the Haan AllPro, to one of our lucky readers! Prize is valued at $60. Details in the rafflecopter form below.
