Alright, I will be the first to admit that I HATE maternity clothes. Ok, maybe not all maternity, but I r
eally hate maternity pants/jeans/skirts. I have this weird quirk about things being on my belly. And in some pregnancies, I had a quirk about stuff being under my belly. I guess there is just no happy medium with me!
If you have ever been pregnant, I am sure you know what I am talking about. If something is too tight on your belly, it just makes you uncomfortable, and if you are like me, it makes you a little queasy.
Eventhough I lost a lot of weight before I got pregnant this time around, I am not very comfortable wearing skimpy things to show off my pregnant body. I have gained about 16 lbs so far (I am almost 17 weeks pregnant), and it seems as though its all setting in the wrong places. Thank you love handles and thighs!! Ugh!!
I am always looking for cute, inexpensive, trendy maternity clothes to make me feel pretty in these uncomfortable times. I stumbled upon Pink Blush Maternity and wow, they have some really cute clothes, and you won’t pay an arm and a leg either, which is nice because you don’t wear the maternity clothes for very long.
Pink Blush Maternity has a nice variety of everything that you need. They have really cute short sleeved tops. This top here is probably one of my faves, among the many, because honestly its hard to pick which one is truly a “favorite”. And if I had this models body, I would totally be in this top!
I actually got to try out a black maxi skirt. I LOVE the length of the maxi skirts. They are also very trendy right now, and in my opinion, very modest! The skirt is 95% rayon and 5% spandex, so it gives you a nice stretch, and is perfect for the early weeks because it conforms nicely to your shape. Now, while I don’t look like this model, I certainly felt really motherly and appropriate in this skirt. I am due in March, so the length will be perfect even for cooler weather here in Illinois. You can pair the skirt with a nice pair of boots! Pre-pregnancy I was in a size 12/14, so I ordered a size large in the skirt and it fits perfectly with a lot of room for stretch when I get bigger.
I didn’t find the fabric to be overly clingy, which would result in me feeling like my rear was popping out for all to see. It just fits, perfectly! I was happy to discover this website because it honestly is really affordable! They even carry evening gowns, and I find that there is something for everyone, of every style! This black maxi skirt retails for $37.99 but is on sale right now on their website for only $28.99! Another nice thing about the store is that they have $5 flat rate shipping on orders $50+. I am checking them out right now for some nice winter sweaters. It’s already getting pretty cold here!
Are you in need of new maternity clothes too? Pink Blush Maternity has been so generous as to offer one of our readers a $25 gift certificate to their website!! I will guarantee you will fall in love with not only their styles, but their prices too!
