Potty Training –
Potty training can be a trying time. When do you start? How do you do it? Should it be child-led and gradual or does the intensive 3-day method work best? We face lots of challenges and questions when making the decision to start potty-training – Pull-ups want to help make things a little easier on us through these parties that are filled with tips and items to help make potty-training as smooth as possible and I am excited to host one of their parties.
I have two boys — a 4 year old and a 15 month old. My oldest has been potty-trained for the most part since a little before 2 years old. We’d started around 14 months and he just wasn’t ready so we stopped and decided to wait a bit longer…when we was ready, that was it. We were lucky, there was very little effort that went into potty training him…during the day. Night time was a completely different story and I’ll be honest, I STILL sometimes put pull-ups on him during the night because I don’t want him to have an accident. It’s something we’ve struggled with but we are working through it. My second is a tad young for the typical potty-training age I’d say but my train of thought is that because he has a big brother and sees him use the big boy potty maybe he’ll follow suit…..we shall see.
