Tubby Table Review and Giveaway

disclosure

Finally something to make baths more fun!

We’ve never been huge bath fans around here. Garrett never gives me a hard time about it at all, but it’s definitely not something he gets excited about. We’re very practical about it. Get in, get clean, get out. But there’s so much learning and fun to be had in the tub! We definitely needed the Tubby Table to facilitate some bath time excitement.

The Tubby Table is stands on a pedestal and attaches to the base of your tub with a suction cup. It’s the perfect size for ANY bathtub and great for children aged 18 months and up. The creator is a mom of twins, so it’s designed to be able to be used by more than one child at once. And the best part? It keeps the toys (and the WATER!) off the sides and in the tub where they belong!

I love the learning potential with this table. Although it’s a fairly simple design, it lends itself to so much valuable learning. Water is also very relaxing, so it allows children to work on the following skills while be soothed and calmed by their environment.

  • Color Differentiation
  • Sorting
  • Counting and Number Recognition
  • Sorting
  • Cause and Effect
  • Filling and Pouring

The table comes with 5 different shapes that fit into corresponding holes in the tub. The shapes are also cups, which Garrett LOVES because that means he can practice drinking — one of his favorite things! Totally grosses mama and dada out though. We call it “booty soup”.

It gives kids a great place to play with all of their favorite bath toys. The perforated holes let the water drain back into the tub, to eliminate splashing and pooling of water, which also means it’s easy to remove from the tub and set aside to dry. Since my bathroom is very small, we usually just leave the table right in the bathtub. It’s made from an antibacterial plastic, so all the cleaning it needs is a monthly wipe down with warm water and soap to remove any hard water deposits that might occur.

To see all of the great features of the Tubby Table in detail, watch the video below! I love how carefully designed this product is, especially when it comes to safety. My favorite feature is that the table will slide around on the suction cup, so that if your child bends over to reach for a toy, they can not get stuck underneath the edge of the table. This is a hazard I would never even have considered, but it was not overlooked by the creator! They also include a non-slip bath mat for the child to sit on the the tub, which is so thoughtful — not that Garrett will keep his booty in one place!

We’re so happy with our Tubby Table because it gives Garrett something educational and fun to do in the bath tub. He’s instantly engaged with his toys, rather than trying to stand up or splash (not that that’s not fun too!) and it keeps his toys close at hand instead of floating away so it keeps him engaged. We definitely recommend this product for your family.
