Upgrade Your Guest Beds For the Holidays

I recently wrote a review and am currently hosting a giveaway for a travel crib for the little ones in our families. We usually carry their beds along with us when we travel, but where do we adults end up sleeping? If you’re lucky, you have an extra bedroom for your family to sleep in when they come to visit. If not, then someone winds up on the couch, floor, or air mattress. However, maybe you were smart and kept that futon from your college days! Because really, who DIDN’T have a futon?

I had two between high school and college. A plain ugly black mattress on first a black metal frame and then a slightly nicer wooden frame. Eventually I upgraded to a real couch and a real bed, but wouldn’t it be nice to have for extra seating and extra sleeping arrangements when family come to visit.

The problem with futons though is that they’re not very attractive. Thanks to Futons to Go though, you can make your old, dependable futon part of your modern, grown up decor. They have everything from nicer mattresses, sturdier frames, attractive covers and even matching pillows. Anything you might need to upgrade your futon.

Here are some great options available from Futons to Go:

  • Add a skirted cover for an upholstered look that completely conceals the frame and adds clean, modern lines
  • Matching futon cover, neck pillows, and square pillows set coordinates your room and creates a cozy space
  • Replace that old, thin mattress with a deluxe version that people will actually want to sleep on
  • Upgrade your frame and add drawers for convenient storage

The best part about their covers is that can be removed quickly and are machine washable. Perfect for the parenting lifestyle! (Don’t you wish you had that option back in college too?)

We moved into our first home in March of this year. Before that, we moved from apartment to apartment. Well, we have not been able to “update” our furniture yet so when we do have guests they sleep on our couch. We have talked about getting a futon since they can be used in a variety of ways. I love that with Futons to Go you can make the futon actually look nice instead of dorm room like. It would be a great piece to have in our spare room. Thanks for the great resource!

  2. This futon looks so wonderful. I gave my son and his wife the futon that I bought for him years ago. I think its definitely ready for a makeover. Thank you for letting us know about Futons to go.
